A Day on the North Shore

Your visit to Leilani Farm Sanctuary offers the perfect opportunity to plan a relaxing, memorable day on Maui’s stunning North Shore. Begin with an invigorating morning stroll along the expansive, white sands of Baldwin Beach Park (A) — an experience that captures the essence of Maui’s natural beauty. (See map below.) Then head a little over three miles east on Hana Highway and stop at Ho’okipa Beach (B), the world-famous wind surfing destination, where you may spot a few honu (sea turtles).

Your one-hour tour of Leilani Farm Sanctuary (C) begins at noon, but you’re welcome to spend more time after the tour ends.  Now you’re ready for lunch. Try the cuisine at one of Maui’s wonderful food trucks, Rainbow Kitchen (D), 2250 Hana Highway, only three miles away. After lunch, when you visit Twin Falls (E), you know you’re in paradise as you hike to the waterfalls and swim in the cool ponds.

The historic town of Pāʻia is a great place to spend your late afternoon and evening.  Explore the shops and galleries before dinner at Café des Amis (F), 42 Baldwin Avenue and enjoy Mediterranean, French and Indian cuisine. If time permits, check out Pāʻia Bay Coffee & Bar (G), which often hosts live music.
